Tripura University Showcases Research at National ‘New Age Fibre’ Demonstration in New Delhi

Agartala, May 20: Tripura University participated in the “New Age Fibre” demonstration programme held in New Delhi on May 19, showcasing its research initiatives in sustainable and emerging fibre technologies at a national platform organised by the Ministry of Textiles and the National Jute Board.

The event brought together major textile research institutes, industry stakeholders and experts from different parts of the country to present innovations and advancements in eco-friendly and next-generation fibre technologies. Through its participation, Tripura University highlighted its ongoing work and research contributions in the field of sustainable fibre development.

In a significant recognition for the institution, Tripura University was the only university invited to present its work alongside leading textile research organisations and industry players, underlining its growing presence in the sector.

In a statement shared on social media, the university said its participation reflected its innovative research efforts and contribution to sustainable and emerging fibre technologies alongside some of the country’s leading institutions and industries.

During the concluding session of the programme, Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh acknowledged and appreciated the research work undertaken by the university in the field of new-age fibre technologies. His remarks highlighted the increasing national recognition being received by the institution for its research initiatives.

The participation is expected to further enhance Tripura University’s role in promoting research, innovation and sustainable development in the textile and fibre sector.
