Two Development Projects Inaugurated in Dhubri Under KAC Funds

Tamarhat: Two key development projects were inaugurated today under the Tamarhat Police Station area in Dhubri district, following the allocation of funds by the Kamtapur Autonomous Council (KAC) for the financial year 2024–25. The projects, aimed at improving community infrastructure, were officially launched through foundation stone–laying ceremonies at Mahantapur and Hatidhura.

At Mahantapur Ashram in Natabari village, GM(KAC) Biswajit Roy laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new stage. The project has been sanctioned at ₹5 lakh, allocated from the Council’s 2024–25 budget to support cultural and community activities in the region.

In a parallel initiative, GM(KAC) Manoj Kumar Roy inaugurated another project by laying the foundation stone for earth-filling work at the premises of the old Durga Temple in Oxiguri (Hatidhura) village. This project, also sanctioned at ₹5 lakh, aims to enhance the temple area and create safer, more accessible surroundings for devotees.

Local residents expressed appreciation for the Council’s efforts, noting that these developments will contribute significantly to the socio-cultural upliftment of the area. Both officials reaffirmed KAC’s commitment to grassroots development and community welfare through targeted infrastructure projects.
