A youth has filed a First Information Report (FIR) at Latasil Police Station in Guwahati, accusing BJP youth leader Abhilash Dutta of assaulting him following a road-related dispute.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred after the complainant’s vehicle allegedly overtook Dutta’s vehicle, triggering an altercation between the two. The youth has alleged that Dutta physically assaulted him during the confrontation.
The complainant further claimed that after the FIR was lodged, Dutta allegedly threatened him with serious consequences, including death threats.
In the FIR, the complainant also alleged that Dutta introduces himself publicly as a close associate of a young BJP MLA.
Police have registered the case and initiated an investigation into the allegations. There was no immediate response from Abhilash Dutta regarding the accusations.
The allegations mentioned in the FIR are yet to be independently verified, and the matter remains under investigation.
