The deceased children were identified as five-year-old Lakshmi and eight-year-old Tina. The incident reportedly took place in Khudanpuri village, where the sisters entered a parked vehicle during playtime. With temperatures soaring across Rajasthan, the vehicle quickly turned into a heat chamber. Reports suggest the temperature inside the parked car may have risen to nearly 53 degrees Celsius, causing the children to suffocate. Family members later discovered the girls unconscious inside the vehicle after a frantic search operation. Their father, who had gone to work after leaving the children at home, returned to find them missing and immediately began searching for them along with neighbours. The sisters were eventually found inside the parked car near a garage where the reportedly faulty vehicle had been kept. Although they were rushed to a nearby hospital, doctors declared both children dead on arrival.
Reports indicate that the girls remained trapped inside the vehicle for nearly 30 minutes and also suffered burn injuries due to the extreme heat inside the car. The incident has left the village in deep shock and grief. Adding to the tragedy, the children had reportedly lost their mother four years ago and were the only emotional support for their father. Police have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the deaths.
