Bilasipara: In a shocking incident during the Durga Puja festival, a 9 mm Pistol was recovered from a young man in the Bilasipara area. The incident occurred near Futkibari during a road accident, causing widespread alarm among local residents. According to eyewitnesses, a young man met with a bike accident near the bridge at Futkibari road. Locals rushed to assist him, and a 9 mm pistol was found in his possession.

The locals immediately informed the police, who arrived at the scene and took the young man along with his bike bearing number AS-01 DY 5582 to the police station. Police investigations have identified the man as Arun Kumar Tiwari, a resident of Fakiragram in Kokrajhar district. Preliminary suspicion suggests that the man was roaming the area with intent to commit an unpleasant act.
Locals believe that the individual might have openly carried the 9 mm pistol to create a tense atmosphere in Bilasipara during the Durga Puja festival. The presence of the pistol has raised further suspicion and fear among the residents of Bilasipara. This sensational incident has caused anxiety in Bilasipara and surrounding areas. The recovery of a 9 mm pistol just before a major festival has heightened concerns among security agencies. Police stated that detailed questioning of the man is ongoing to determine where he intended to go and for what purpose he was carrying the pistol.
