Hojai: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse, visited Hojai district on Saturday, on instructions from the Prime Minister’s Office. She attended a key review meeting at the District Commissioner’s office hall, chaired by District Commissioner Bidyut Bikash Bhagwati. In the meeting, Minister Khadse checked the progress of various central government schemes in Hojai.

She was highly satisfied with their success and thanked the district administration and departments for their efficiency and hard work. She also promised to inform the Prime Minister’s Office and related ministries about problems like issues in MSME schemes and beneficiaries getting bank loans. She added that these will be fixed soon.The minister also said the February 1, 2026 budget is good for the Northeast, especially Assam. It has Rs 49,725 crore for Assam’s overall growth.All district department officers were present. They gave detailed PowerPoint presentations on their schemes’ status, progress, future plans, and challenges. After the meeting, the minister visited the new Lamding Mini Stadium, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (Lamding), and houses built under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural).
