Baksa Dist Admin Pays Heartfelt Tribute to Zubeen Garg

Baksa: The District Commissioner of Baksa, Gautam Das, today led a solemn condolence programme at the District Commissioner’s office premises to honour the memory of legendary singer and cultural icon Zubeen Garg.

The gathering was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners, the Assistant Commissioner, officers, and staff members of the district administration, who came together to offer prayers for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

Speaking at the programme, DC Das expressed the collective grief of the people of Baksa, echoing the sentiments of countless admirers across Assam and beyond. “Zubeen Garg’s music and legacy remain an inseparable part of our cultural fabric. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled,” he said.

As a mark of respect, the District Commissioner, along with ADCs and other officials, laid floral tributes before a portrait of the late singer. Staff members too joined in paying homage, reflecting the deep reverence the district holds for the iconic artist.
