Tezpur: At the call of the central committee of the Asom Yuva Parishad, the youth wing of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) a motorcycle rally under the title “Sankalpa Yatra” was organised in Tezpur on Thursday. The programme was organised jointly by the Sonitpur district unit of the Asom Yuva Parishad and the Tezpur Legislative Assembly Constituency unit.

Among those who participated in the rally were central president of the Asom Yuva Parishad Jitu Borgohain, working president Hrishikesh Sarma, AGP vice-president Apurba Kumar Bhattacharya, Tezpur MLA Prithiraj Rava, and Sonitpur district president of the AGP Ratul Kumar Nath. Participants in the Sankalpa Yatra said that Tezpur has remained a stronghold of the AGP and that the party’s organisational base in the area continues to be strong.
