Biswanath Chariali: One Shivam Pantanti (11 years), son of Bijay Pantanti, a resident of Dopholakata line of Ghiladhari TE died of drowning in Ghiladhari river. According to information, Shivam, a student of class V of a Tea Garden school came out of his home to have a bath along with his friends and to collect sand from the river.

After having a bath for a while he went into the deeper side of the river and drowned there. His friends made hue and cry. On hearing them, some people gathered there and tried to locate him. Later on, a team of SDRF along with higher officials from Biswanath police visited the site and conducted a search operation. The body of the minor was recovered this morning.
