Dibrugarh Administration Bans Sale of Petrol, Diesel in Plastic Bottles

Dibrugarh: The Dibrugarh District Administration has imposed a prohibitory order banning the sale, storage, transport, and purchase of petroleum products such as petrol and diesel in plastic bottles and other non-standard containers with immediate effect.

The order highlights the grave risks posed by storing inflammable products in unauthorized containers, including leakage, spillage, fire hazards, and potential accidents. It further warned that such practices could promote black marketing and diversion of fuel, particularly during periods of shortage.
