Guwahati, March 21: An unidentified body was recovered from a pond within the premises of Gauhati University in the Jalukbari area of Guwahati on Saturday, March 21, raising concern among students and local residents.
The incident took place in the Saraighat Colony locality inside the campus, where locals noticed the body floating in the water and immediately alerted authorities. Police teams arrived at the scene along with personnel from the State Disaster Response Force, who assisted in retrieving the body.
Officials confirmed that while the body has been recovered, the identity of the deceased remains unknown, with no documents or personal belongings found at the site to aid identification.
