Nagaon: Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma today addressed a massive election rally at Bhutaigaon village in Nagaon – Batadroba assembly constituencies today here and also urged to vote for BJP candidate in the constituency. While addressing the huge gathering at Bhutai Deka playground, on the outskirts of Nagaon town, Dr Sarma said that the scenarios of Nagaon had been drastically changed during the tenure of BJP led alliance government and to keep continuing the development across the Nagaon – Batadroba constituency, he urged the huge gathering to vote BJP candidate and incumbent MLA Rupak Sarma again in the upcoming assembly polls, scheduled on April 9 next.
He claimed that the people of the state are with development and BJP is with the development in all aspects. He said we have all gathered on a special day today here as today is Saptami of the Basanti Puja and Goddess Ma Durga is on the planet. He directed the incumbent BJP MLA and candidate Rupak Sarma to bow down to the gathering and asked to take the blessings of Goddess Ma Durga too.

Referring to his earlier electoral promises, Dr Sarma said that he had fulfilled all those electoral promises he made before the last assembly polls in 2021. I promised to offer one lakh government jobs to the educated unemployed youth in the state and I offered over one lakh and sixty five thousand government jobs to those unemployed youth within last five years, Dr Sarma said, adding that if BJP voted to power again, he would offer another two lakhs government jobs to the youth in next five years in the state. Besides, he also promised to cover another ten thousand women beneficiaries under the ongoing Arunodoi scheme right after the assembly polls. He said that during the last tenure, BJP led alliance government offered special financial aid of Rs 2 lakh each to a total of seven hundred unemployed youth in Nagaon – Batadroba constituency and promised that if BJP led alliance would come to power again, the BJP led alliance government would offer financial aid to over another ten thousands unemployed youth in the constituency for their self employment and self reliance in next five years. Referring to swift road transportation between Nagaon and Guwahati, Dr Sarma said that if the ruling alliance voted to form the next government, the BJP led alliance government would construct an Express road from Nagaon to Guwahati. He expected that the people of the constituency would leave no stone unturned to give Rupak Sarma’s victory with a big margin of approximate sixty thousands in the upcoming assembly polls on April 9 next.
