Guwahati, April 4: Former MP and Gana Suraksha Party candidate Naba Kumar Sarania has expressed strong confidence of a decisive victory in the Manas Assembly constituency, claiming that his party is poised to secure around one lakh votes in the upcoming elections.
Speaking at a series of campaign events across the constituency, Sarania said his outreach programme would be completed in all areas before April 7. He asserted that voters, including those from the Muslim community, have already made their electoral choices.
He further claimed that even supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party have indicated to him that they would not back candidates from the Congress or Raijor Dal, suggesting what he described as a broader shift in voter sentiment in favour of his party.
Launching a sharp attack on rivals, Sarania criticised UPPL leader Pramod Boro, accusing him of political opportunism. He also targeted BJP leader Kamal Kumar Medhi, alleging inconsistency in his political affiliations over the years.
Positioning himself as a grassroots leader, Sarania said both he and Hira Sarania maintain close connections with the public and enjoy widespread support. He pointed to large turnouts at his rallies as evidence of growing trust among voters.
Reiterating his campaign message, Sarania assured constituents that he remains committed to addressing local issues and delivering solutions if elected, as campaigning intensifies ahead of polling in the constituency.
