Guwahati, April 11: A man from Sonapur was found dead under suspicious circumstances at Rudraksh Mall in Bhangagarh, Guwahati, prompting police to launch an investigation into the incident.
The deceased has been identified as Siddhanta Das, who had reportedly got married just a month ago. His sudden death has shocked family members and local residents, who expressed disbelief over the tragic development.
According to initial reports, Das was found in a critically injured condition after allegedly falling from the seventh floor to the fourth floor of the mall. He was immediately rescued and rushed to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, where doctors later declared him dead on April 11.
While the exact cause of the fall remains unclear, suspicions of foul play have emerged, with some suggesting that he may have been attacked. However, police have not confirmed any such angle and stated that all possibilities are being examined.
City police have visited the scene and initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to his death, including whether it was an accident, suicide, or a case involving criminal intent.
