West Karbi Anglong, April 16: In a remarkable display of academic excellence, Rajnath Singh, the son of a marginal farmer from Kheroni Kachari Gaon, has secured the top position in West Karbi Anglong district in the CBSE Class 10 examination with an outstanding score of 96.20 per cent.
Rajnath, a student of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Baithalangso, achieved the distinction despite coming from a financially constrained background. His father, Rajkumar Singh, is a cultivator, and the family’s modest means had posed significant challenges throughout his academic journey.
The achievement has brought immense pride and joy to his family, with local residents also celebrating his success and extending their congratulations. His performance has been widely appreciated in the area, marking a significant milestone not only for his family but also for the wider community.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, which are government-supported residential schools, are designed to provide quality education and essential facilities to students from rural backgrounds. Rajnath’s success stands as a testament to the impact of such institutions in nurturing talent and enabling students to overcome socio-economic barriers.
