Orang HS Results 2026: No. 2 Nalbari HS School Leads, Nabajit Daimary Tops Bodo Statewide

Udalguri-Sonitpur, May 1: The declaration of the Higher Secondary examination results on April 28 has highlighted strong academic performances across the Orang region in Assam’s Udalguri district, with six institutions recording notable outcomes. Among them, No. 2 Nalbari Higher Secondary School emerged as the leading performer, setting the benchmark for overall results in the area.

Orang Higher Secondary School, the only government institution in the region offering the science stream, maintained a steady performance despite facing a shortage of subject teachers during the examination period. Of the 25 students who appeared, 88 per cent cleared the examination, including seven in first division, 13 in second division and two in third division.

Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) delivered a standout performance with a 100 per cent pass rate. All 16 candidates cleared the examination, with six securing first division and ten second division. The institution also recorded a full pass percentage in the HSLC examination this year, reinforcing its consistent academic track record.

Dhanshree Degree College registered a 70 per cent pass rate, with seven out of ten students clearing the examination, including three in second division and four in third division. Kalaguru Bishnu Rabha Junior College achieved a pass percentage of 63 per cent, with 198 out of 315 students qualifying. Two students, Nihursa Basumatary and Bimpee Saikia, secured distinction with scores of 89 per cent and 88.2 per cent respectively. The institution also recorded ten star marks, 41 first divisions, 74 second divisions and 83 third divisions.

A significant highlight from the results was Nabajit Daimary of Kalaguru Bishnu Rabha Junior College securing the highest marks in the Bodo language across the state, bringing recognition to both Orang and Udalguri district.

NRDS Senior Secondary School, which had consistently ranked among the top performers in previous years, secured the second position this time with a 93 per cent pass rate. Of the 75 students who appeared, 70 passed, including 23 in first division, 26 in second division and 21 in third division. Three students—Rafika Orang, Rachana Mahato and Kanika Basumatary—earned distinction.

Leading the region, No. 2 Nalbari Higher Secondary School recorded 94 successful candidates out of 96, reflecting a high success rate. Among them, 27 secured first division, 57 second division and 10 third division. The school also recorded two star marks, while Pallavi Deka achieved distinction with 88.2 per cent along with letter marks in five subjects. Nirmala Devi and Jonali Deka scored 78 per cent and 75.2 per cent respectively, contributing to the institution’s overall performance.

The results have drawn appreciation from various organisations, including literary and student bodies in Udalguri and Orang, recognising the achievements of students and the efforts of educational institutions in the region.
