Diplu Ranjan Sarma Confident of Record BJP-NDA Victory in Assam Ahead of Vote Counting

GUWAHATI, May 3: Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from the New Guwahati Assembly constituency, Diplu Ranjan Sarma, on Sunday expressed confidence that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance would retain power in Assam with a record mandate in the ongoing Assembly elections.

Speaking to reporters in Guwahati ahead of the counting of votes scheduled for May 4, Sarma said the party was fully prepared and optimistic about the outcome. He stated that the BJP-NDA was confident of returning to power by surpassing previous electoral performances.

The BJP leader attributed this confidence to the developmental initiatives undertaken by the government during its tenure and the support received from voters across the state. He maintained that the alliance’s work on the ground had translated into strong public backing.

Counting of votes for the Assembly elections is set to begin amid heightened political activity and extensive security arrangements. Leaders and party workers across the political spectrum have expressed optimism as they await results that will determine the next government in the state.
