Guwahati: In a significant revelation in the ongoing investigation into the death of singer-composer Zubeen Garg, Siddharth Sharma has reportedly admitted to having serious disagreements with the artiste, according to CID sources.
During interrogation, Siddharth confessed that tensions between him and Zubeen had escalated over the past two years. Despite Zubeen’s clear unwillingness, Siddharth allegedly went ahead with organising two separate events on the same day, which further strained their professional relationship.
Investigators revealed that Siddharth engaged in manipulative financial activities during the construction of Zubeen Garg’s Kharghuli residence, taking advantage of his influence over the singer. CID sources stated that Siddharth frequently argued with Zubeen without the knowledge of Garima Saikia Garg, Zubeen’s wife, and maintained complete control over the singer’s financial transactions.
The probe also uncovered that Shekharjyoti Goswami was a full collaborator in Siddharth’s actions. Both accused allegedly operated in a calculated and coordinated manner, systematically isolating individuals who grew close to Zubeen.
As the Special Investigation Team (SIT) continues its inquiry, both accused have made detailed confessions. Senior SIT officials are now conducting face-to-face interrogations to verify their statements and gather additional evidence that may be crucial to uncovering the truth behind Zubeen Garg’s untimely death.
