Guwahati: Young Assam footballer Ashish Chetry has scripted an inspiring rise in Indian football after earning recognition in the India U-20 setup following a sensational season with Zinc Football Academy. Inspired by Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, the talented striker from Assam has emerged as one of the brightest young prospects in the country. Ashish enjoyed a breakthrough campaign this year, scoring 25 goals and registering five hat-tricks for Zinc Football Academy, performances that caught the attention of national selectors.
