Hojai: The 20-day Karyakarta Vikas Varg (Pratham, Samanya) organised by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Assam Kshetra, concluded at Geetashram in Hojai on Sunday with a grand valedictory function attended by thousands of swayamsevaks and well-wishers. A total of 102 trainees from different states of Northeast India participated in the camp. The closing ceremony featured disciplined physical demonstrations by the trainees, drawing appreciation from the audience. Addressing the gathering, Assam Kshetra Bauddhik Pramukh Shankar Das Kalita said the RSS has been working for the organisation of Hindu society and nation-building for the past century. He stressed the need to preserve India’s cultural heritage and cautioned against forces that seek to divide society on the basis of caste, language, region and other identities.

Kalita said diversity should strengthen social harmony rather than become a source of conflict. Referring to Assam, he urged people not to allow differences related to language, region or ethnicity to undermine social cohesion. He emphasized that the RSS promotes unity through the values of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah and Ekam Sat Vipra Bahudha Vadanti.
In his address, Habapan Syn Syiem, Deputy Raja of the traditional Khasi State of Hima Khyrim in Meghalaya, highlighted the philosophy of Seng Khasi and expressed hope that indigenous spiritual values would contribute to peace and harmony in society. The camp was conducted under the guidance of P. V. S. L. N. Murti and Dineshwar Singh. RSS Assam Kshetra Sanghachalak Dr. Umesh Chakravarty was also present. The programme concluded with a pledge of dedication towards national development and social unity.
