Shyamkanu Mahanta Reportedly Faces Acute Physical Discomfort During CID Custody

Guwahati: In a major development, reports have surfaced that Shyamkanu Mahanta, who has been in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for nearly 12 days, is experiencing severe physical discomfort and unease.

According to reports, Mahanta has been complaining of intense body pain and weakness while in lock-up. He has reportedly requested the investigating officials to allow a body massage, citing persistent stiffness and discomfort.

It has been learned that Mahanta has been sleeping on the floor inside the lock-up for several days, which has worsened his physical condition. Before his detention, he reportedly maintained a routine of undergoing body massages twice a month to manage body strain, a practice he claims is essential for his well-being.

Reports further emerged that Mahanta has made multiple appeals for medical attention and relief measures, though no official statement has been issued by the CID regarding his health or the current condition of his custody.
