Guwahati, June 15: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma received the honorary title of “Yugdrashta” from the Assam Rajyik Muktijujaru Sanmilan in recognition of his contributions to the state’s development and welfare initiatives.
The Assam State Freedom Fighters Association bestowed the distinction during a programme organised by the body, which represents freedom fighters and their families across the state.
The association honoured the Chief Minister for his role in implementing various measures aimed at promoting public welfare and advancing Assam’s development.
The title, which translates to “Creator of an Era”, is considered a special recognition reserved for individuals whose work has had a significant and transformative impact on society.
The latest honour added to the various recognitions received by the Chief Minister for his initiatives in governance, infrastructure and socio-economic development in Assam.
