MCCC Clinch 19th Dhan Sena Sinha Memorial U-14 Cricket Title

Guwahati, June 15: MCCC (Machkhowa) emerged champions of the 19th Dhan Sena Sinha Memorial (U-14) Prize Money All Assam Inter-School cum Inter-Coaching Centre Limited Over Cricket Tournament 2026, defeating Nabadoy Cricket Academy (Nalbari) by nine wickets in the final played at the historic Latasil Ground in Guwahati. After winning the toss, Nabadoy Cricket Academy elected to bat first but struggled against a disciplined MCCC bowling attack. The Nalbari side was bundled out for 118 runs in 28.3 overs. Himanshu Das top-scored with 28 runs, while Sujay Sarkar and Liyan Sarma chipped in with 18 runs each. For MCCC, Manash Jyoti Kumar delivered an impressive spell, claiming 2 wickets for 13 runs. Pratap Kanti and Luvyam Lundia also scalped two wickets apiece.

In reply, MCCC chased down the target comfortably, reaching 119 for 1 in 20 overs. Kamran Akmal anchored the innings with an unbeaten 61 off 71 deliveries, while Aman Konwar remained not out on 40. Kamran’s match-winning knock earned him the Man of the Match award in the final. Nabadoy Cricket Academy’s Sujay Sarkar was adjudged Man of the Series for his consistent all-round performances throughout the tournament. Other major award winners included Dishant Diban Das (DPS Guwahati) as Best Batsman, Sujay Sarkar as Best Bowler, Subhajit Bhowmick (DPS Guwahati) as Best Fielder, Akhtaruddin Laskar (CCAN) as Best All-Rounder, and Priyojit Choudhury (CCAN) as Best Wicketkeeper. South Point SCA received the Most Disciplined Team award, while Debang Paul was named the Most Emerging Player of the Tournament.

The prizes were distributed during a ceremonial function attended by several distinguished guests. Among those present was Sankar Gohain, Managing Director of Dainandin Barta Group, who joined other dignitaries in presenting trophies and awards to the winners and outstanding performers of the tournament. Organised by the River Rine Cricket Coaching Centre, the tournament provided a valuable platform for budding cricketers from across Assam to showcase their talent, gain competitive experience and nurture their sporting aspirations.
