The Kamrup (Metropolitan) District Judge’s Court has issued a legal heir certificate in favour of Garima Saikia Garg, wife of celebrated Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, formally recognising her as the legal heir to his properties.
In its order, the court directed that all property documents belonging to Zubeen Garg be transferred to Garima Saikia Garg’s name. The decision legally establishes her succession rights over his assets.
The legal heir certificate empowers Garima Saikia Garg to manage, transfer and handle matters related to the ownership of the properties in accordance with existing legal provisions.
With this ruling, the court has completed the legal formalities concerning the succession of Zubeen Garg’s estate, bringing closure to the process of determining the rightful heir to his assets.
