DULIAJAN, July 22: The Summer Football Coaching Camp, jointly organised by the Duliajan Football Academy (DFA) and Oil India Limited (OIL), concluded at Nehru Maidan in Duliajan on Wednesday after more than a week of intensive training.
The camp, held from July 12, brought together boys and girls aged 7 to 16 years and provided them with football training under former Assam footballer and AFC ‘B’ Licence coach Luchon Saikia, assisted by former Oil India footballers Shishuram Chutia and William Gangte.
Several OIL officials, sports administrators and former footballers attended the valedictory function. DFA office-bearers distributed commemorative T-shirts and sweet packets to the participants.
The organisers said the annual camp aimed to identify and nurture young football talent while promoting discipline, fitness and teamwork through grassroots football development.
