Duliajan, July 28: Delhi Public School, Duliajan secured runners-up finishes in the Under-14 Boys and Under-14 Girls categories at the Far East Zone CBSE Lawn Tennis Tournament 2026, held at DPS Numaligarh from July 25 to 27.
The Under-14 Boys team of Bhargav Saikia, Priyanshu Deori Bharali, Mrigasya Sharma and Neer Bormudoi reached the final after defeating hosts DPS Numaligarh in the semi-finals before finishing runners-up to Bihani Academy, Kolkata.
The Under-14 Girls team, comprising Jaswita Bhuyan, Aarhi Baruah and Aarohi Baruah, also advanced to the final and finished runners-up after losing to GD Goenka Public School, Siliguri.
DPS Duliajan also fielded teams in the Under-17 Boys and Under-17 Girls events. The twin podium finishes highlighted the school’s strong performance at the zonal championship.
