Singapore: The Singapore Police Force (SPF) has moved to quash rampant online speculation and misinformation surrounding the death of Zubeen Garg, confirming that preliminary findings do not suggest foul play. The statement was issued by the SPF as the case remains under active investigation in accordance with Singapore’s Coroners Act 2010.
Authorities elaborated that while the investigation is ongoing, current evidence does not lead them to suspect any foul play in the incident. The police added that the full investigation process may take up to another three months. Following the completion of the inquiry, the findings will be submitted to the State Coroner, who will subsequently determine if a Coroner’s Inquiry (CI) is necessary to formally ascertain the cause and circumstances of death.
Further confirming procedural diligence, the SPF stated that a copy of Mr. Garg’s autopsy report and the preliminary findings were officially shared with the High Commission of India on October 1, 2025. The Singapore Police Force concluded their statement by strongly urging the public to refrain from engaging in further speculation and to allow the police to complete their professional investigation unimpeded.
