IMPHAL: CDO-Kakching arrested an alleged active cadre of the RPF/PLA during a search operation at Kiyamgei Awang Leikai under Irilbung Police Station in Imphal East district on August 24.
The arrested person was identified as 35-year-old Nameirakpam Sanju Meitei alias Nganba, a resident of Kiyamgei Awang Leikai.
Security forces said the operation led to the recovery of an AK rifle, an SMG carbine, nine magazines, 737 rounds of ammunition of different calibres, three BP plates and three BP jackets.
The arrested individual and the seized arms and ammunition were handed over to the concerned authorities for further legal action and investigation.
