A passenger bus travelling from Guwahati towards Lakhimpur overturned on a damaged stretch of the highway at Khetri after the driver reportedly lost control, leaving several passengers with narrow escapes.
The incident occurred a day after a fatal crash at Khetri-Nalgedera on August 30, in which a passenger-carrying commercial vehicle collided head-on with a truck, killing six people and injuring three others.
The latest accident has renewed concerns over the condition of NH-27 and road safety in the Khetri area. Further details on injuries, if any, were awaited.
