DHAKUAKHANA, Oct 14: A training programme for Lat Mandals assigned to the National Census 2027 was held at the conference hall of Lakhimpur District Circuit House on Wednesday, with officials from four revenue circles participating.
The session covered Dhakuakhana, Subansiri, Kadam and North Lakhimpur revenue circles. Joint Director of the Census Department Bikash Nath served as the resource person and explained the technical and practical aspects of the census exercise.
Nath advised the Lat Mandals to consult their respective Circle Officers if they encountered difficulties while carrying out their duties. He also stressed the need to thoroughly check and verify entries in the census schedules to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data collected.
Additional District Commissioners Nabanita Hazarika and Bhaskar Baruah, North Lakhimpur Revenue Circle Officer Jayprakash Mahanta, Lakhimpur Municipal Board Executive Officer Biraj Bhattacharya, Dhakuakhana Municipal Board Executive Officer Ankur Dutta, and District Information and Public Relations Officer in-charge and Assistant Commissioner Prachurjya Pratim Neog attended the programme.
