Buddha Relics Exhibition to Be Held in Three Arunachal Districts

An exhibition of the sacred relics of Lord Buddha will be organised in three districts of Arunachal Pradesh — Tawang, West Kameng and Namsai — Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced.

Speaking in Tawang, Khandu said the exhibition would be held in Tawang, Bomdila in West Kameng district and Namsai, allowing people across the three regions to pay their respects and view the relics.

Describing the occasion as spiritually significant, the Chief Minister said Buddhists regarded the arrival of the sacred relics in the state as auspicious.

He said the exhibition would begin the following day and coincide with an important occasion in Buddhist tradition, marking Lord Buddha’s return to Earth from the heavenly realm after imparting teachings to his mother.

Khandu expressed hope that visitors would find inspiration in Buddha’s teachings and embrace values such as kindness, compassion and understanding.

He said the initiative would provide an opportunity to engage with Buddhist traditions and reflect on the enduring message of peace and compassion.
