Guwahati: A beloved piece of Assamese cinematic history is making a powerful return: Koka Deuta Nati Aru Hati 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 1983 classic, is set for theatrical release across Assam on November 21, 2025. Directed by National Award–winner Biswajeet Bora, the film is produced by Pride East Entertainments Pvt. Ltd. It blends nostalgia with fresh storytelling—promising a unique experience of “innocence, tradition, and emotion” tailored for today’s audiences. Reportedly, the sequel brings together stalwarts of Assamese cinema in a grand ensemble cast. Among the notable cast is Utpal Das, who portrays the grandson character in the film, adding a layer of generational continuity and emotional depth to the narrative. The first-look poster was unveiled recently in Guwahati by the Pride East CMD, creating significant buzz among fans of the original and modern Assamese filmgoers.
