Quick Thought and Rating: 5 Stars. Advocacy is not latent but talent. Law is the summation of Arithmetic, Knowledge and Presentation. The book titled “The Procedural Anatomy of Case Filling” presented a vast sway of filling knowledge in a systematic manner.
Authored by Sri Ranjan Jyoti Sarma and published by Ashok Publication, Panbazar, Guwahati-1, the book has the content in fineness about case filing and it’s nitty-gritty. The book touches the relevant but often ignored and unknown aspect of case filing. The book is realistic, packed with honesty and pain. No part of the book is of no importance. It is basic and primary. The Code of various cases is presented in detailed tabular form. The procedures of defective cases, limitation and court fees are the aspects of importance. The notifications and suit value calculation are the important aspects that are included in the book. Another important aspect is the diagrammatic representation of Case record movement from the Filing Section to the Hon’ble Court or related section. The E-filing Rules is the present trend and its inclusion made the book more valuable than ever. Ad-Valorem Fee structure is also a necessary aspect of the book.
The catch is that, no book is available in this area of the legal field, i.e. this is the first book in the area and on target. The author has been successful in giving a concise but comprehensive coverage of the subject. The educational value of this book is immense and operates on a number of levels. It will be a catalyst to remove ignorance and indifference. The Author made an attempt to unshackle Legal Jargon in layman’s terms.
The hype around the book has been unquestionable and admittedly that made me both eager to get my hand on it and perplexed while reading it because of its content. In my opinion this book is a must read for Law students, aspirants of Grade-I and Grade-III examination, more particularly after 3 years of Legal Practice made mandatory for Grade-III aspirants as well as legal professionals irrespective of experience. The book, though needs improvements in certain areas, all in all, it is an essential guide book for every one dealing with legal matters.
