Nagaon: The Rajen Borgohain and Gopal Borgohain Memorial Football Tournament, organized by Kapahera Anchalik Krida Sangstha, concluded successfully at Kapahera Stadium.
Katahguri FC emerged as the champion, defeating Star Sporting Club 3-1 in the final.
The final match, played on Sunday day – night, saw Katahguri FC’s Ramesh Singh, Abhidiya Singh, and Jitu Ahmed scoring the goals, while Dibyajyoti Bordoloi scored the only goal for Star Sporting Club.
The tournament was attended by several dignitaries, including Ramakanta Dewri, local MLA and President of District Sports Association.

The best player award went to Abhidiya Singh of Katahguri FC, while Vishnu Basumatary of Star Sporting Club was adjudged the best goalkeeper. Pranjal Bhumij of Riverine FC, Baligaon, won the top scorer award.
The tournament saw participation from several teams, and the event was successful due to the efforts of Kapahera Anchalik Krida Sangstha and the organizing committee.
