Political Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched a sharp attack on the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan, accusing it of relying on outdated appeasement politics while asserting that the people of Bihar have voted overwhelmingly for development and Viksit Bharat.
Addressing a gathering after the NDA’s sweeping victory—winning 202 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan managed only 35—PM Modi said Bihar has delivered a strong mandate against divisive politics.
Taking a direct swipe at RJD’s traditional “MY formula”—Muslims and Yadavs—Modi said the NDA’s triumph has given Bihar a new MY formula: “Mahila and Youths.”
“Some parties in Bihar made the ‘MY’ formula of appeasement. But today’s win has given a new and positive MY formula — mahila and youths,” the Prime Minister said.
He emphasised that Bihar has one of the largest young populations in the country, “from every religion and caste,” and that their aspirations have “demolished the old communal MY formula of the Jungle Raj era.”

PM Modi also slammed the RJD over its past governance record, recalling incidents of booth capturing and ballot box loot during what he described as “Jungle Raj.”
“During Jungle Raj in Bihar, polling booths were vandalised, ballot boxes stolen. Today, the same Bihar has witnessed record voting,” he said.
This year’s Bihar assembly election recorded 67.13% voter turnout, the highest since 1951.
Reiterating his criticism of the RJD, he declared that the “katta sarkar”—a term he used to describe the lawlessness of earlier regimes—would “never return to Bihar.”
“The people of Bihar have voted for Viksit Bihar and rejected Jungle Raj forever,” Modi said.
The Prime Minister’s remarks signal a renewed NDA confidence as Bihar’s political landscape undergoes a decisive shift toward development-centric narratives.
