RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Begins Two-Day Visit to Assam

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat arrived in Assam on Monday, 17 November, for a two-day visit as part of the organisation’s centenary celebrations.

After landing at Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Dr Bhagwat proceeded to Sudarshanalaya in Barbari, where he is scheduled to take part in a series of internal meetings and interactions with RSS functionaries.

The visit holds particular importance as the RSS marks 100 years of its establishment, with Dr Bhagwat travelling to Assam to oversee related programmes and connect with karyakartas in the state.

This is his second visit to Guwahati this year. In February, he spent five days in the city, during which he held extensive organisational discussions, addressed a meeting of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti at IIT Guwahati, and attended a Bouddhik session at South Point High School in Saukuchi that drew thousands of volunteers.

Dr Bhagwat’s current visit is expected to include strategic reviews and internal engagements linked to the centenary observances.
