Free Medical Camp Organized in Rangapara

Rangapara: A free medical camp was organized today at the Agarwala Samiti Bhawan in Rangapara, drawing a large turnout of local residents seeking healthcare services. The camp was inaugurated by local MLA Krishna Kamal Tanti, who highlighted the importance of such initiatives in bringing much-needed medical facilities to the people of the region.

The camp featured specialized services provided by Dr. Paritosh Das, an orthopedics specialist from Tezpur Medical College, and physiotherapist Dr. Jagrata Bordoloi. Free medicines were distributed to patients, and in addition to bone and joint treatments, tests for high blood pressure and diabetes were also conducted. Hundreds of people, particularly from underprivileged backgrounds, benefitted from the services.

According to Dr. Pradip Lahkar, proprietor of Orthocare Hospital, Tezpur, patients diagnosed with serious illnesses during the camp would be referred to his hospital for advanced treatment.

The event saw the presence of several dignitaries, including Harishadhan Das, Chairman of Rangapara Municipality, social worker Anuradha Dey, and Shyam Thakur, proprietor of Shree Ganesh Medicos, among others.

From early morning, a large crowd gathered at the venue, reflecting the growing demand for accessible healthcare in the area. Local residents expressed gratitude to the organizers, saying the camp had given them an opportunity to access medical services otherwise out of reach.
