Two Drug Peddlers Arrested in Boko; 58 Grams of Heroin Seized

Boko: In a swift and well-coordinated operation, Boko Police on Thursday apprehended two suspected drug peddlers from the heart of Boko town. The accused have been identified as Elibor and Sayed Ali, both residents of Rangeswari near Nagarbera.

Acting on specific intelligence, the police team intercepted the duo after a brief chase. Upon search, officials recovered 58 grams of heroin, valued at approximately ₹3 lakh in the illegal market. The contraband was cleverly hidden inside five soap cases, suggesting that the pair was actively engaged in distribution across the region.

The operation was carried out under the leadership of Munna Pachani, Officer-in-Charge of Boko Police Station. Police have initiated an in-depth investigation to trace the larger network involved in the supply chain and to identify more individuals connected to the trafficking racket.

Boko Police reaffirmed their commitment to intensifying anti-drug operations in the area and urged the public to cooperate by reporting suspicious activities to help curb the growing menace.
