Ronita Kakoti Wins Bronze at Cadet National Taekwondo Championship

North Lakhimpur: Ronita Kakoti, a promising trainee of the Lakhimpur Sadar Taekwondo Academy in North Lakhimpur, has brought pride to Lakhimpur district and Assam by clinching a bronze medal at the Cadet National Taekwondo Championship. The event was held in Jalandhar, Punjab, from November 21 to 23.

Competing in the over 59 kg category, Ronita showcased exceptional skill and determination, securing a podium finish at one of the country’s most competitive Taekwondo platforms. Her achievement marks a significant milestone for the academy and highlights the rising talent from the region.

Ronita, who hails from Suwaluguri, Azad in North Lakhimpur, is the daughter of Ananta Kakoti and Ritamoni Saikia Kakoti. She has been undergoing rigorous training under the guidance of chief coach Ganesh Gogoi and assistant coaches Jagat Sonowal and Dipankar Saikia at the Lakhimpur Sadar Taekwondo Academy.

Her success has been widely lauded by the local sports community, with many expressing hope that her accomplishment will inspire more youth from the district to take up martial arts and strive for excellence at the national stage.
