Bodo Martyrs’ Cup Football Tournament reaches semifinals

Nagaon: The 28th Bodo Martyrs’ Cup Football Tournament, organized by the Bodo Shaheed Nyas and managed by the Langhing Tiniali Sports Association, has reached its semifinal stage. The tournament is being held at the Garoimari Stadium in Langhing.

      In the quarterfinal match held today, Phulani Sports Association defeated Birupara Rongjalu Club (BRC) 2-1. Phulani Sports Association’s Monin and Dhan Das scored the two goals, while Birupara Rongjalu Club’s Kamal Sonar scored the only goal for his team.

       The match was officiated by noted referee Ankur Kalita in supervision of senior referee Narayan Basumatary, with Sankar Terang, Aman Bordoloi, and Sadar Bey serving as assistants.

        Meanwhile, Morigaon DCC FA defeated JBAFC Kick in the penalty shootout 4-2 (1-1) in another quarterfinal match held on Monday. The semifinals are scheduled to be held tomorrow (Wednesday), with Morigaon DCC FA facing off against Hojai Thabal FC in the first match. The tournament is being closely followed by sports enthusiasts, and the semifinal matches are expected to be highly competitive.
