Tamarhat: An election campaign of the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) was held today at Pastibari under the 2 No. Guma constituency of Kokrajhar district.Speaking at the rally, BPF president Hagrama Mohilary said that this time in the BTC elections, the BPF will form the council government, and once the government is formed, land pattas will be distributed to all whose names were listed in the 2005 voters’ list.

Referring to all those residing in the BTC area since 10 February 2003 as citizens of BTC, Mohilary added that along with land pattas, financial assistance will also be provided to women’s self-help groups.Pointing to the large number of women present, Mohilary described them as “Lakshmi” and assured that whatever expectations women place upon them by casting their votes, those hopes would be fulfilled once the BPF forms the government. Additionally, the BPF president told the voters that if any party offers money, they should take it but cast their vote for the plough symbol.The rally was also attended by Antaj Ali, the BPF’s nominated candidate from 2 No. Guma constituency, along with leaders and workers from the party’s central,district,and primary levels,as well as representatives from the women’s and youth wings. In the rally,attended by more than seven thousand people, over two hundred leaders and workers from various political parties joined the BPF.
