Dr Angiras Bhattacharyya Becomes Sonitpur’s First Neurosurgeon

Tezpur: Bringing laurels to the historic city Tezpur Dr Angiras Bhattacharyya, a native of the town emerged as the first neurosurgeon from Tezpur and Sonitpur district with securing Gold Medal in the M.Ch. (Neurosurgery) examination.

Neurosurgery is considered one of the most complex and challenging disciplines in medical science, pursued only by the most meritorious students and completed after years of rigorous training and perseverance. Dr Bhattacharyya has demonstrated academic excellence at every stage of his educational journey. After obtaining his MBBS and MS degrees from Gauhati Medical College, he went on to complete his M.Ch. in Neurosurgery from the same institution, culminating in this remarkable achievement.

Dr Angiras Bhattacharyya is the son of Mridul Bhattacharyya, a resident of Tezpur Kalibari and retired Additional Chief Engineer of AGCL, and Ranjana Sarma, retired Chief Engineer of APDCL.

His outstanding achievement at the beginning of the English New Year is expected to serve as a source of inspiration and motivation for students aspiring to excel in higher education and professional fields.
