Entertainment, Jan 29: Justin Bieber is set to return to the global spotlight with a performance at the Grammy Awards 2026, marking his first major live appearance in nearly four years and signalling a pivotal moment in his career. The announcement has generated strong buzz around this year’s ceremony, as the pop star has largely stayed away from large-scale public performances since 2022.
The comeback comes at a significant point for Bieber, who has earned four Grammy nominations this year. His latest album Swag, released after a long gap following Justice in 2021, has been nominated for album of the year. He is also in the running for best pop vocal performance, best pop vocal album and best R&B performance, according to reports cited by The Hollywood Reporter. The nominations underline both the critical and commercial relevance of his return to music.
The Recording Academy has confirmed a varied and high-profile performance roster for the night. Alongside Bieber, the stage will feature performances by pop singer Sabrina Carpenter, hip-hop duo Clipse and producer-musician Pharrell Williams. The ceremony will also include a special segment showcasing all eight nominees in the best new artist category—Addison Rae, Alex Warren, KATSEYE, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, Olivia Dean, SOMBR and The Marías—highlighting emerging voices across genres.
The Grammy Awards 2026 will be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+ this Sunday from 5 pm. This edition of the ceremony carries additional weight as it will be the final Grammys aired under CBS’s long-standing broadcast partnership, with the awards set to move to Disney from next year.
Adding to the sense of transition, this year will also mark Trevor Noah’s final appearance as host. After anchoring the Grammys for six consecutive years, the comedian and television personality will step down, bringing an end to a defining era in the show’s recent history.
