BURPP Festival 2026 to Bring Divine and Major Cultural Showcase to Guwahati This October

Guwahati is preparing to host one of Northeast India’s biggest music and cultural events as BURPP Festival 2026 returns on October 10 and 11, promising a two-day celebration of music, food, art, and community engagement.

Festival organisers have confirmed Indian hip-hop star Divine as the headline act for the opening day. They also revealed that the headlining performer for Day 2, described as a prominent national artist, will be announced in the coming days.

Envisioned as a platform that reflects the Northeast’s evolving cultural landscape, BURPP Festival 2026 is expected to attract more than 40,000 attendees over the course of the event. The turnout is anticipated to further strengthen the festival’s standing as one of the region’s largest independently curated cultural gatherings.

Beyond its music lineup, the festival has been designed as a comprehensive cultural experience. Visitors can expect curated food and beverage zones, regional culinary showcases, art and cultural installations, interactive brand experiences, flea markets, lifestyle attractions, and community-focused engagement spaces spread across the venue.

Organisers said the festival will also provide opportunities for emerging and regional musicians, creating a platform where local talent can perform alongside nationally recognised artists and reach wider audiences.

A defining aspect of BURPP Festival is its roots in the Northeast. Conceived and developed within the region, the event aims to spotlight local creativity while delivering large-scale entertainment experiences. According to organisers, the festival reflects the growing influence of homegrown cultural initiatives that are helping establish the Northeast as an increasingly important destination within India’s live entertainment sector.

With a strong focus on music, culture, food, and community, BURPP Festival 2026 is expected to attract visitors from across Assam and the broader Northeast, contributing to the continued growth of the region’s cultural and events ecosystem.

Organisers said more artist announcements, curated attractions, and additional festival details will be unveiled as the event draws closer.
