The Tripura government has appointed senior IAS officer Shantanu as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), according to an official notification issued by the General Administration (Personnel & Training) Department.
As per the order issued on June 8, Shantanu, a 1997-batch IAS officer of the Tripura cadre, has been repatriated from central deputation and posted as Principal Secretary to the Government of Tripura in the Higher Administrative Grade (HAG) at Level 15 of the Pay Matrix.
Apart from his responsibilities as Principal Secretary, he has been given additional charge of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department. He will also assume the role of Chief Executive Officer of the TTAADC.
The notification stated that Raval Hemendra Kumar, who had been holding the additional charge of CEO of the autonomous council, will be relieved of the responsibility after Shantanu takes over.
It also said that K. Sasikumar has been relieved from the charge of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department.
The government said the order has been issued in the interest of public service and has come into force with immediate effect.
