Manipur Police seized a consignment of suspected narcotic tablets worth approximately Rs 80 crore in Jiribam district while intercepting a truck travelling towards Cachar in Assam from Imphal.
Police recovered the drugs from the vehicle during the operation, highlighting the alleged use of the Manipur-Assam route for transporting narcotic substances.
An investigation was launched to trace the source of the consignment, identify those involved in its transportation and establish its intended destination.
The seizure formed part of Manipur Police’s ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking and the movement of narcotic substances through the state.
