Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Rangasamy and members of his council of ministers during the swearing-in ceremony.
Rangasamy took the oath in the name of God.
Two other leaders were also inducted into the cabinet — Malladi Krishna Rao of the AINRC and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader A. Namassivayam.
Malladi Krishna Rao, who represents the Yanam constituency, took the oath in Telugu.
Several senior BJP leaders, including Nitin Nabin and B. L. Santhosh, attended the ceremony.
The NDA had secured victory in the Assembly elections held on April 9, thereby retaining power in Puducherry. Following the election results, President Droupadi Murmu appointed Rangasamy as the Chief Minister of the Union Territory.
