DULIAJAN, Oct 27: Oil India Limited (OIL) is observing Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 from October 26 to November 1 under the aegis of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), with the theme “Probity for Prosperity”.

The inaugural programme was held at OIL’s corporate office in New Delhi on Monday, where Chairman and Managing Director Dr Ranjit Rath and Chief Vigilance Officer Shalabh Tyagi administered the Integrity Pledge in the presence of functional directors and other officials.

K. Moses Chalai, Secretary of the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), Government of India, attended the programme as the chief guest. In his address, he stressed the importance of integrity, transparency and ethical governance in public sector organisations.

The programme was live-streamed across OIL’s operational areas, enabling employees at different locations to participate. The company’s annual in-house magazine, InTouch, was also released on the occasion.

This year’s observance focuses on preventive vigilance, with five priority areas identified: disposal of pending complaints and cases, capacity-building programmes, digital initiatives and contract management.

OIL has planned a range of awareness activities, including poster and banner campaigns, radio jingles and talks, workshops, seminars, competitions for schoolchildren, street plays and quizzes.

Through these initiatives, the company aims to strengthen awareness of ethical practices, accountability and transparency among employees and the wider community, in line with the theme “Probity for Prosperity”.
