Pradyot Debbarma Congratulates BJP on ‘Stupendous Victory’ in West Bengal, Cites Wider Political Shifts

Agartala, May 4: Founder of the Tipra Motha Party, Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, on May 4 congratulated the Bharatiya Janata Party for what he described as a “stupendous victory” in West Bengal, calling it a significant political development.

In a statement, Debbarma credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP MP Biplab Kumar Deb for the outcome, stating that their leadership played a key role in what he termed a decisive defeat of the All India Trinamool Congress.

Debbarma also used the occasion to comment on political developments beyond West Bengal, referring to what he described as setbacks for Left parties in Kerala, while noting that such claims could not be independently verified.

He further pointed to political activity in Tamil Nadu and Assam, mentioning actor-politician Vijay and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and suggested that evolving regional dynamics reflect broader changes in voter preferences across the country.

His remarks come amid heightened political activity nationwide, with parties increasingly interpreting state-level outcomes within a larger national context.
