AGARTALA, August 12: Tripura Police secured the first position among all State and Union Territory police forces in the country in the use of the National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID) solution during June 2026.
The achievement reflected the force’s efforts to strengthen technology-driven and intelligence-led policing through the effective use of modern technological platforms.
NATGRID enables authorised law-enforcement agencies to securely access and analyse information from multiple databases, supporting crime prevention, detection and investigation.
Tripura Police said the recognition reflected the leadership, supervision and sustained efforts of its personnel in adopting and effectively using NATGRID facilities for policing purposes.
The achievement also highlighted the force’s focus on improving operational efficiency and investigative capabilities through technology.
Tripura Police said it would continue to strengthen the use of NATGRID and other technological solutions for crime detection, investigation, intelligence gathering and prevention of criminal activities.
